About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional customer care administrator to join our team at Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and developing organisation that prioritises primary care service delivery.

The successful candidate will be based at the Haydon Bridge & Allendale Surgery, providing exceptional customer service to patients of NPC practices. You will be responsible for managing the practice generic inbox and other electronic messaging systems, dealing with telephone calls from patients and third parties, and providing administrative support to nursing and clinical staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deal with requests for access to medical records in a timely and secure manner.
  • Manage the practice generic inbox and other electronic messaging systems to ensure effective communication between patients and staff.
  • Respond to telephone calls from patients and third parties, providing clear and concise information and resolving queries as necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to nursing and clinical staff, including taking meeting minutes and maintaining accurate records.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of NVQ level 2 or higher in Customer Service/Administration/Healthcare or equivalent experience. You will be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively.

We offer a comprehensive training programme for the use of SystmOne, and successful candidates will be required to work in a busy reception desk environment, dealing with patients face-to-face and on the telephone.
