Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Customer Care Administrator to join our team at Northumbria Primary Care Ltd. The successful candidate will have a background in primary care and strong customer service and administrative skills.
This role will be based at the Haydon Bridge & Allendale Surgery, where you will provide a high level of customer service to patients of NPC practices. You will be required to work in a busy reception desk, dealing with patients face to face and on the telephone, as well as providing administrative support to nursing and clinical staff.
Main Duties
- Deal with requests for access to medical records.
- Manage the practice generic inbox and other electronic messaging systems.
- Deal with telephone calls from patients and third parties as appropriate.
- Provide administrative support to nursing and clinical staff.
- Take meeting minutes as required.

Northumbria Primary Care Ltd is a pioneering partnership with local GPs and manages several GP practices with around 50,000 registered patients in Northumberland and North Tyneside. Job Responsibilities
- Deal with telephone calls from patients and third parties as appropriate.
- Scan all incoming patient information into their computerised medical records.
- Provide administrative support to nursing and clinical staff.
- Issue invoices and seek payment for private work, keeping a record of monies received and owed using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
- Receive confidential information by telephone or face to face and input accurately into SystemOne as appropriate.
- Ensure external mail is posted off daily.
- Provide cover for the other member of the secretarial team in the instance of staff absence due to annual leave and sickness.

- NVQ level 2 or higher in Customer Service/Administration/Healthcare or equivalent experience.
