**Duties and Responsibilities of a Senior Healthcare Assistant (Residential Care)**:
- Acting as a positive role model; provide effective supervision and guidance for the team; contribute towards their performance and professional development
- Communicating any concerns to senior management
- Ensuring the implementation of individual care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed
- Providing practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with personal care needs
- Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of residents, ensuring that any changes are referred and documented
- Monitoring and allocating work for HCAs
- Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors
- Undertake administration of medication training and administer medication to residents
**Requirements for the Senior Healthcare Assistant (Residential Care)**:
- Have a Level 2 Health & Social Care (Essential)
- Have previous care experience
