About the Role

The Communications and Engagement Lead Officer (Digital) is a new role that offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to contribute to the delivery of digital projects at this pivotal time.

As part of the Department for Science, Industry, and Technology 5G Innovation Regions programme, we are working with public and industry partners to test how advanced wireless connectivity can deliver real benefits to the people of Greater Manchester.

Initially, the role will focus on coordinating resident and wider stakeholder engagement across project partners, developing the narrative for the project in the context of the wider Greater Manchester Digital Blueprint priority.

This is an outward-facing, dynamic, and fast-paced role that contributes to the delivery of high-profile GMCA ambitions.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in developing and leading on communications and engagement projects, working with diverse stakeholders. You will be comfortable working in a project environment across organisational boundaries.

You will be a natural collaborator, adept at building relationships, and an effective team player with the energy to have an impact and the sensitivity to do so constructively.

Able to develop, implement, and assess the insights of diverse communities, you will be a valuable asset to our team.
