Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturing company, is seeking an E-Commerce Business Development Manager to join their team in Middlesex. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead growth by expanding the customer base, enhancing user experience, and forging partnerships to drive sales.

The ideal candidate will be a results-driven professional with eCommerce, digital strategy, and aerospace expertise. Key responsibilities include developing and executing customer acquisition and retention strategies, utilizing marketing channels and targeted promotions to drive conversion and engagement.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute customer acquisition and retention strategies to drive sales
  2. Boost online sales by tracking essential metrics and making informed, data-driven decisions
  3. Conduct ongoing analysis of the aviation consumables market and competitor landscape to uncover unique opportunities
  4. Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Procurement teams to align on product selections, website content, and promotional initiatives
  5. Lead initiatives to enhance website functionality and customer experience, collaborating with IT and external vendors
  6. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through effective contract strategies
  7. Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, working with marketing teams to increase brand recognition
  8. Install a culture that prioritizes and fosters consistent sales growth
  9. Prepare and present comprehensive sales data reports for monthly management meetings

Requirements:

  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, including Magento, Shopify, and custom CMS systems
  • Experience in SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and CRM tools
  • Proficient in analysing and acting on eCommerce data and performance metrics
  • Proven ability in securing support contracts and achieving sales targets
  • Strong industry connections with airlines and MROs, with experience in selling maintenance chemicals, consumables, and expendables
  • Background in other aviation sectors, such as military or helicopters, is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities
  • Skilled in IT tools, including Power BI for business intelligence
