Support Worker for Young Person

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team to support a young person with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, dystonia, speech and language delay, psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, and profound deafness (with cochlear implants) in their home in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily support and companionship to the individual, including assisting with personal care tasks, meal preparation, and light housekeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the individual with personal care tasks, such as bathing and dressing
  • Prepare meals and snacks according to the individual's dietary needs
  • Accompany the individual to extra-curricular activities, such as dance classes
  • Provide general companionship and support to the individual

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with complex needs and hold a paediatric first aid certificate. A DBS check will also be required.

Working Hours:

19 hours per week, with additional paid overtime available. Core hours are Monday evenings, with additional nights worked two nights per week. There may be opportunities to work full days during school holidays.
