In-Home Caregiver for Young Adults

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced SENIOR carer/support worker to join our team and provide high-quality support to a young adult male with complex health and learning needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the young man's physical and emotional well-being, including assisting with the care of his therapy dog and working closely with his family and other staff.
Responsibilities:- Provide person-centred empathetic care and support to the young man
- Assist with daily living and household tasks, including meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner
- Participate with the young man in activities he enjoys, including gaming, music, and outdoor activities
- Accompany him to appointments, therapy sessions, and social outings as needed
