Carer for Young Adult with SEN

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer to join our team. As a Senior Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to a young adult with special educational needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a caring environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will be confident in managing challenging behaviors and providing emotional support to promote independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily living support, including household tasks and meal preparation
- Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Encouraging participation in activities, such as gaming, music, and outdoor events
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors using therapeutic techniques
- Collaborating with family and other staff members to ensure consistent and high-quality support
Requirements:
- Experience in a caring environment, preferably with individuals with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident in managing challenging behaviors and providing emotional support
