Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inclusive Learning Lecturer to join our team at Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd. As an integral part of our Foundation Learning Department, you will be responsible for providing tutorial and pastoral care for students with learning disabilities/difficulties.

About the Role

This fixed-term contract (maternity cover) offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of learners and make a significant impact on their educational journey. You will lead a study programme, including Maths and English, and take an active role in student assessment and accreditation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide tutorial and pastoral care for students with learning disabilities/difficulties.

  • Contribute to curriculum planning and product development.
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced teacher who can manage students with challenging behaviour and demonstrate the ability to teach and communicate at a level appropriate to the students. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the accreditation framework and assessment strategies in the post-16 sector.

Benefits

This role comes with a competitive salary, ranging from £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive 40 days' annual leave plus up to 8 additional days over Christmas/New Year, as well as 5 days' wellbeing leave.
