About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Thames House, a 26-bedded low secure unit for women with mental illness and/or personality disorder.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care and treatment for individuals with mental health problems.

Our unit is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment, where patients can work towards their goals and develop the skills necessary for a successful transition to community living.

We are proud of our collaborative approach to care, which involves working closely with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to decision-making
  • Provide high-quality nursing care and support to patients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Engage with patients and carers to promote empowerment and self-management
Requirements
  • Experience of working in an acute mental health setting
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2007 and clinical risk assessment and management
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults
  • Qualification in psychosocial interventions
