About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people and schools in Oxfordshire, providing early intervention and support for those experiencing emotional distress or emerging mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups in schools, run parent awareness sessions, and provide formal teaching on mental health subjects.
  • Work with schools to assess their needs and develop a robust approach to building community resilience regarding mental wellbeing and early identification of mental health concerns.
  • Deliver training, supervision, consultation, and support to schools and other team members.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a Mental Health or equivalent professional health qualification, such as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse, or Social Worker. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties and be able to work autonomously within the team.
