Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women experiencing mental health issues associated with pregnancy and childbirth in Oxfordshire.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a community-based, forward-thinking service that is committed to delivering quality patient interventions. You will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments, managing a complex caseload, and providing practical advice and support to service users.

As a Perinatal Mental Health Practitioner, you will work closely with other services, including health visitors and midwives, to ensure a seamless and comprehensive approach to care. You will also be required to travel across Oxfordshire to meet the needs of service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Manage a complex caseload and provide ongoing support to service users
  • Work collaboratively with other services to ensure a comprehensive approach to care
  • Travel across Oxfordshire to meet the needs of service users
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a relevant professional qualification at diploma or degree level, such as RMN, SW, or OT. You will also need to have excellent English verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Experience working in community mental health settings and with women experiencing perinatal mental health issues is highly desirable. You will also need to be able to travel across Oxfordshire and have access to a car for work purposes.
