We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service as a Community Mental Health Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to women experiencing mental health issues associated with pregnancy and childbirth in Oxfordshire.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and manage a complex caseload of service users.
- Support the duty rota and provide practical advice and support, including family work, psychological interventions, and safeguarding concerns.
- Conduct social and health assessments, including risk assessment, in collaboration with the birth parent and their carer, where available.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including midwifery and health visiting, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality care and support.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with a passion for Perinatal Mental Health.
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Understanding of perinatal mental health and its impact on service users.
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptable to meet the needs of our diverse service and the changing demands of community specialist perinatal mental health services.
- Familiarity with current legislation, guidelines, and processes affecting mental health care delivery.
- Ability to travel across Oxfordshire and use professional skills to support and motivate colleagues and service users.
