About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner - Early Intervention Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with young people and schools in Oxfordshire, providing early intervention and support for mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based services and specialist programs for schools, focusing on early intervention and mental health support.
  • Integrate mental health agendas and community resilience within schools, delivering training, supervision, consultation, and support to key staff.
  • Build strong relationships with schools and key staff, assessing their needs and providing tailored support.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups, run parent awareness sessions, and provide formal teaching on mental health subjects.
  • Support other team members with larger school interventions and contribute to policy development around well-being.
Requirements
  • Mental Health or equivalent professional health qualification (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Nurse, or Social Worker).
  • Experience working with children and young people who have mental health difficulties.
  • Post-qualification experience in a mental health setting, working with young people or adults with mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to work autonomously and organize own time and workload.
