About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team, specializing in the care of young people with mental and physical health challenges. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals within Oxfordshire.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for young people experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to their professional development.
- Participate actively in clinical meetings and case discussions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
Essential Requirements
- Completion of at least three years of full-time postgraduate training in psychiatry, or equivalent experience.
- Hospital appointments in psychiatry at SHO/CT level or equivalent.
- Ability to exercise intermediate clinical responsibility as delegated by the consultant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Full GMC registration and adherence to GMC Guidance: Duties of a Doctor.
- Strong IT skills, including typing proficiency.
Desirable Requirements
- Attendance at MRCPsych course or equivalent.
- Section approval under the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Experience at ST or SD level or equivalent.
- Teaching experience, particularly with medical undergraduates.
- Driving licence and own transport.
