Strategic Business Growth Director

Rapiscan Systems is looking for a Strategic Business Growth Director to lead our Commercial R&D activities. In this role, you will identify and establish opportunities for funded mechanisms to develop low TRL technologies within the UK and EU.
You will drive innovation by leading the development of low TRL technologies, build networks and forge new relationships to support our innovation goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing processes for new programs, including technical justification, ROI, and market growth
- Providing regular updates to Senior Management and offering feedback to Sales and Marketing on product status and market expectations
The ideal candidate possesses a PhD in Physics or a related field and has a proven track record in securing funding from external agencies. You will enjoy a competitive salary, excellent benefits package, and opportunities for career growth.
Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Qualifications and Experience:
- PhD in Physics or a related field
- 5-10+ years of experience in Commercial R&D
- Proven track record in securing funding from external agencies
