Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) in a school in Sandwell.
The ideal candidate will provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs, develop and implement strategies to manage their behaviour and improve academic outcomes. Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff is essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
- Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to support SEMH needs.
- Support students in managing their behaviour and improving academic outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work or related field (desirable but not essential).
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques (or willingness to learn).
- Team Teach qualification (desired but not essential).
