Role Overview
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Specialist to join their team in a SEMH School in Sandwell. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing challenging behaviour and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' learning experiences in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Implement effective strategies to enhance students' learning experiences in the classroom
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing environment for students
Requirements
- Experience in managing challenging behaviour
- Comprehensive understanding of SEMH and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Ability to tailor support to meet individual students' needs
- Team Teach/Positive Handling/De-escalation Training Desired, SEND Certificate and SEND qualifications also beneficial
