Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at GET STAFFED ONLINE RECRUITMENT LIMITED. The successful candidate will provide financial support and ensure accurate records for our charity in Redhill, Surrey.

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the bookkeeping, ensuring records are up-to-date and accurate. This involves providing financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and payroll management support to the Senior Accountant (Director of Finance) and the Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present financial information to stakeholders, including the CEO, Trustees, and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to inform business decisions.
  • Compliance and Taxation: Ensure adherence to tax laws, regulations, and financial standards, maintaining accurate records and submitting required documents on time.
  • Payroll and Accounts Management: Manage payroll processing, employee benefits, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Team Collaboration and Development: Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, CEO, and Trustees to achieve organizational goals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

Essential:
  • Experience: Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Organisation: Good planning and organisation skills.
Desirable:
  • Qualifications: Accounting Technician or similar.
  • Ability to use and manage databases of non-financial information.
