About the Role

The company is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join their team as an Accounts & Tax Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and completing financial statements and associated tax returns for a selection of clients, for the Directors' sign off.

As Accounts & Tax Manager, you will partner with a dedicated Payroll Manager and Senior Bookkeeper to produce the figures. Some of the work the firm is bringing in is more complex, including tax planning, probate and IHT, and there will be an opportunity for you to develop your knowledge in this area also.

The role does not have immediate staff responsibilities, but as part of the growth plans of the firm, they will be recruiting Trainees of which this post will mentor.

About the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have trained and qualified (or close to qualifying) in an accountancy practice, either for a UK firm or working to regulations easily transferable to UK GAAP. You will likely be a Senior Accountant or equivalent, looking for your next step.

You will be very comfortable working in a dynamic small and close team, excited by the idea of joining a firm who are about to embark on a heightened path of growth and the responsibility of the role as it evolves.
