Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health and Substance Use Specialist to join our high-functioning and well-integrated MHSU Intensive Case Management team in Cranbrook, B.C. As a key member of our team, you will provide assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to clients experiencing severe substance use concerns and concurrent disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide low-barrier outreach services to adults experiencing substance use problems/disorders or concurrent substance use and mental health problems.
Function as a primary clinician utilizing specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients, and/or their families.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team-based model of care to ensure timely, responsive, evidence-based treatment and clinical supports across the continuum of available services.

Requirements:

Experience working with adults experiencing severe substance use concerns and concurrent disorders.
Strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team-based model of care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
