About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Urgent and Crisis Service team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and managerial leadership to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the team, ensuring high-quality care and support to service users.
  • Develop and implement effective team working practices, promoting a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based practice within the service, ensuring that our interventions are informed by the latest research and best practice.
  • Work closely with other disciplines and teams to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • Deputise for the Service Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of service and maintenance of standards.
Requirements
  • Registered Clinician (Nurse or Social Worker) with a strong background in community mental health and crisis intervention.
  • Experience of supervising staff and providing clinical leadership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of skill and expertise in effective decision making, while exposed to distressing and highly emotional situations.
  • Knowledge of local and national policy related to mental health, including the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
