Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our established leadership team as a Senior Nurse Practitioner. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to lead and direct the clinical care and operation within an Acute Inpatient ward.

About the Role

The Senior Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for delivering person-centered and trauma-informed care within the defined inpatient area. This will involve undertaking comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, managing a complex cohort of service users, and providing advice and support to colleagues.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols relevant to the inpatient area in partnership with relevant colleagues.
  • Provide expert advice and clinical support to colleagues, contributing directly to the formulation and treatment plan.
  • Provide specialist care for individuals presenting with or at high risk of developing physical health risks.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the service, reporting outcomes against agreed service standards and performance indicators.
  • Participate in clinical audit, patient satisfaction questionnaires, and other quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

The successful candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with proven experience of clinical leadership. They will have a high level of clinical skills and knowledge of inpatient care, as well as the ability to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and awareness of current evidence base relevant to the area of practice.
