Job Title: Monitoring Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Community Safety Unit as a Monitoring Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe environment for residents and visitors to North Lanarkshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advice and assistance to the public on anti-social behaviour and out-of-hours homeless services via a range of communication methods.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents as required.
  • Collate information and produce reports to support the team's work.
  • Work collaboratively with retailers, partnership agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve community safety.
  • Undertake duties such as identifying and reporting faults, and assisting with access to the building.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a secure, controlled environment and undertake radio and telephone communications as required.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings across North Lanarkshire Council.
  • Knowledge of North Lanarkshire geographical area and CCTV systems (desirable but full training will be provided).
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
