Primary Responsibilities

We are thrilled to offer a remarkable opportunity for an Administrative Operations Supervisor who is dedicated to customer service, approachable, and enthusiastic. This position will be located at Southampton General Hospital, where you will become a vital part of the Managed Care and DXA administrative team.

Key Duties

  • Lead a team of administrative professionals.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of the patient experience by maintaining coordinated and efficient administrative processes tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide support for other Team Leaders to guarantee a consistent and effective administrative service at all times.

Job Requirements

What We Seek

  • At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to address the conflicting demands of the role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel).
  • Previous clerical or administrative experience.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Person Specification

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience with a solid understanding of various administrative procedures, including non-routine elements.
  • Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard, with a pass in English and Maths.
  • Experience in administration within a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience in managing non-routine and complex issues, resource allocation, and staff management.
  • Ability to draft correspondence from fragmented instructions.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Competency in using ESR and Healthroster.
  • Supervisory or office management experience.
