Primary Responsibilities

We are thrilled to offer a remarkable opportunity for an Administrative Team Supervisor who is dedicated to providing excellent customer service, is approachable, and has a positive attitude. This position will be based at Southampton General Hospital, where you will become a vital member of the Managed Care and DXA administrative team.

Key Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of administrative staff.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of the patient journey by maintaining coordinated and efficient administrative processes tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide support for other Team Leaders to guarantee a consistent and effective administrative service at all times.

Role Requirements

What We Seek

  • At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the varying demands of the role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel).
  • Previous experience in clerical or administrative roles.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Person Specification

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential

  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience with a solid understanding of various administrative procedures, including non-routine tasks.
  • Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) level, with a pass in English and Maths.
  • Experience in administration within a customer-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to handle non-routine and complex issues, including progress tracking and resource allocation.
  • Competence in composing correspondence from fragmented instructions.
  • Experience in delivering training sessions.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Proficient in using ESR and Healthroster.
  • Supervisory or office management experience.
