Clinical Specialist in Wound Management

Luminary Group is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Specialist focused on Wound Management. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert care to individuals suffering from both acute and chronic wounds. Your responsibilities will include thorough assessments, accurate diagnoses, and the development of tailored treatment strategies aimed at enhancing healing and improving the overall quality of life for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' wounds, including precise measurements, staging, and identification of underlying factors.
  • Develop individualized treatment strategies based on patient requirements and objectives, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and the latest advancements in wound care.
  • Implement wound care procedures such as dressing changes, wound irrigation, debridement, and medication application.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for patients, including consultations with other healthcare providers.
  • Instruct patients and their families on effective wound care practices, preventive measures, and recognition of potential complications.
  • Continuously monitor patients' healing progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to facilitate recovery.
  • Stay updated on current research and developments in wound care, participating in professional growth activities and sharing insights with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in the relevant state.
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) or a related field.
  • Preferred certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound Care (CNS-WC).
