Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' wounds, including detailed measurements, staging, and identification of underlying factors.
  • Develop individualized treatment strategies tailored to patients' specific needs and objectives, utilizing evidence-based practices and the latest advancements in wound care technology.
  • Implement wound care procedures such as dressing changes, irrigation, debridement, and medication applications.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care for patients, including consultations with various healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education to patients and their caregivers on effective wound care techniques, preventive measures, and recognizing potential complications.
  • Continuously monitor patients' healing progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
  • Stay updated on current research and developments in wound care, participating in professional growth activities and sharing insights with colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the relevant state.
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) or a related field.
  • Preferred certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound Care (CNS-WC).
