Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' wounds, focusing on measurements, staging, and identifying root causes.
  • Develop individualized treatment strategies based on patient needs and objectives, utilizing evidence-based practices and cutting-edge wound care technologies.
  • Implement wound care procedures, including dressing changes, irrigation, debridement, and medication application.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for patients, coordinating with various healthcare professionals.
  • Instruct patients and their families on effective wound care practices, preventive measures, and recognizing potential complications.
  • Continuously monitor patients' healing progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to enhance recovery.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in wound care, participating in professional development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the relevant state.
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) or a related field.
  • Preferred certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Wound Care (CNS-WC).
