Role Summary:
As a Commissioning Support Officer, you will be instrumental in facilitating various stages of the Commissioning Cycle within the Younger Adults' Commissioning Team, part of Adults' Health and Care.
This team is dedicated to implementing a person-centered and strengths-based methodology that empowers individuals and their caregivers to lead independent lives, particularly in the realms of Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, and Mental Health support services.
Our established Commissioning Frameworks, combined with stringent quality standards, allow us to select and maintain high-caliber support providers that align with the needs of the Council and the individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilizing your background in Health, Housing, or Social Care, you will leverage your exceptional communication skills to foster robust relationships with our providers, ensuring that the quality of contracts and the service user experience remains exemplary. You will also engage in direct audits and service development.
Your networking abilities will be crucial as you collaborate with both internal and external teams, focusing on business intelligence, data analysis, provider engagement, and financial troubleshooting, while also supporting our Finance processes to guarantee timely and accurate payments to our providers.
With your previous experience in contract management, you will prepare reports based on quarterly data returns and assist in tendering and contracting strategies. Specific contracts will be assigned to you, where you will gather and analyze complex data from various sources, including service user feedback and performance metrics, to effectively address issues and identify opportunities for service enhancement. This will involve generating insightful reports for management review and decision-making.
Your meticulous attention to detail and planning capabilities will be vital in recognizing current and future challenges, aiding in the development and execution of service improvement initiatives.
Travel Requirements:
Occasional travel may be necessary to various locations within Hampshire.
