About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commissioning Officer to join our Shared Services Partnership team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will play a critical role in supporting and leading strategically important commissioning activities related to our sufficiency duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and lead the commissioning cycle, including tendering and contract management for complex, high-value, and/or strategically important contracts.
  • Develop and implement commissioning and category plans, working closely with the Senior Category Manager and Category Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure market share and best value for our placements.
  • Lead on contract monitoring and evaluation to ensure providers are delivering high-quality services and resolving any quality or capacity concerns.
  • Contribute to service priorities and areas of need, and provide regular reporting at category level and across the category management function.
Requirements:
  • Highly organized and solution-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail, well-developed analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent IT skills, including data management, manipulation, analysis, and presentation.
  • Commercially minded with a keen appreciation of delivering cost-effective, efficient, and streamlined services.
  • Clear communicator with a passion for ensuring quality services and delivering positive outcomes for children and families.
Working Arrangements:

You may be required to travel to other locations within Hampshire, and therefore need to have the ability to travel as necessary.
