Role Summary:

As a Commissioning Officer for Support Services, you will play a crucial role in facilitating various aspects of the Commissioning Cycle within the Younger Adults' Commissioning Team, part of Adults' Health and Care.

This team is dedicated to implementing a person-centered and strengths-based methodology that empowers individuals and their caregivers to maintain independence across Learning Disability, Physical Disability, and Mental Health support services.

Utilizing our Commissioning Frameworks and established quality standards, we ensure the selection and maintenance of high-quality support providers that align with the needs of the Council and the individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize your experience in Health, Housing, or Social Care to engage effectively with providers, ensuring high standards of contract quality and service user satisfaction.
  2. Conduct audits and enhance our service offerings through strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  3. Leverage your networking abilities to gather business intelligence, perform data analysis, and assist in financial troubleshooting, ensuring timely and accurate payments to providers.
  4. Prepare comprehensive reports based on quarterly data submissions and support the planning of tendering and contracting processes.
  5. Manage specific contracts, analyzing complex data from various sources, including service user feedback, to identify issues and opportunities for service enhancement.
  6. Employ your attention to detail and organizational skills to foresee and address current and future challenges, contributing to the development and execution of service improvement strategies.
