Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Manager to join our IT Planning, Governance & Compliance team. This newly established position offers a unique opportunity for a professional in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery to shape the role according to their expertise.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing, maintaining, and monitoring compliance with all IT business continuity and disaster recovery policies and procedures within the directorate.
  • Implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans tailored to the organization’s requirements and best practices.
  • Ensuring familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and ITIL.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to conduct regular testing and exercises to assess the effectiveness of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and proposing enhancements.
  • Communicating effectively and strategically with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
  • Education to SCQF Level 8 or equivalent, or demonstrate relevant experience in a technical role within a business continuity and disaster recovery context.
  • Ability to embody the values of SQA: Trusted, Progressive, and Enabling, fostering a productive and positive work culture.
