Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Manager within our IT Planning, Governance & Compliance team. This position presents a unique opportunity for an expert in business continuity and disaster recovery to shape the role according to their expertise.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with the development, maintenance, and oversight of compliance regarding all IT business continuity and disaster recovery policies and procedures across the directorate. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies tailored to the organization's requirements and best practices.
- Demonstrating familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and ITIL.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure regular testing and exercises are conducted to assess the effectiveness of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and providing recommendations for enhancements.
- Effectively communicating and strategizing with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure clarity of messaging.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a minimum of SCQF Level 8 education or equivalent, or demonstrate relevant experience in a technical role within a business continuity and disaster recovery context. Candidates should also embody the values of SQA: Trusted, Progressive, and Enabling, to foster a productive and positive organizational culture.
