Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of GAPD in the development and maintenance of the Operational Resilience programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Resilience Programme Development
    • Support the Head of GAPD in the development and maintenance of the Operational Resilience programme
    • Develop and maintain operational resilience documentation
  • Operational Resilience Governance
    • Support the governance and embedding of the operational resilience programme across the Branch
    • Support departments in their maintenance of mapping for the operational resilience programme
  • Operational Resilience Training and Exercising
    • Support the operational resilience training and exercising programme; including staff inductions, annual training and tailored scenario testing
  • Legislative Compliance
    • Proactively research changes in Operational Resilience legislation and regulations and ensure any changes are implemented in Branch
  • Incident Response
    • Support the incident response across Branch, providing subject matter expertise and an incident coordination point
  • Business Continuity Planning
    • Work collaboratively with Heads of Department across Branch in maintaining and reviewing Business Impact Analysis
    • Work collaboratively with Heads of Department across Branch in maintaining, reviewing and testing of Department level Business Continuity Plans
  • Secretariat and Administrative Functions
    • Support the secretariat and administrative functions of the Operational Resilience Sub Committee
    • Support the secretariat and administrative functions of the Crisis Management Committee
  • Lessons Learnt and Risk Management
    • Help maintain the business continuity lessons learnt document to ensure continuous improvement across Branch
    • Highlight and work with departments to mitigate business continuity risks
  • Disaster Recovery and IT Support
    • Work with IT to strengthen and test disaster recovery arrangements
Requirements
  • A university degree
  • Experience of developing and maintaining an operational resilience and/or business continuity management programme
  • Banking experience
