Position Overview:

As a Field Service Engineer at Leidos, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical and customer support for sophisticated security systems utilized in airport operations. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the seamless functionality of complex baggage handling systems across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical assistance and customer support for installed security systems.
  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair advanced X-ray and CT equipment.
  • Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring all systems operate efficiently.
  • Perform radiation surveys and maintain calibration on testing equipment.
  • Deliver training and support to customers on the use of installed systems.
  • Document maintenance activities, machine faults, and system availability.
  • Identify and report design and reliability issues to enhance system performance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent military training. Experience with complex electromechanical systems, particularly in the airport security sector, is highly desirable.
