Position Summary

This is a full-time hybrid position for a Security Systems Installation Engineer. The individual will be tasked with managing system installations, executing thorough testing, diagnosing and resolving technical challenges, performing routine maintenance, and addressing urgent service requests. The role may involve international assignments, either remotely or on-site.

Work Schedule

The position operates on a 35-hour work week, with standard hours from 0900 to 1700. Flexibility in working hours is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities


• Adhere to the company's Health and Safety protocols, prioritizing the safety of oneself and others at all times.


• Follow and enforce the company's standard operating procedures.


• Execute all tasks in accordance with company, client, and industry standards to deliver exceptional service and comply with regulatory requirements.


• Maintain confidentiality and be mindful of clients' security needs.


• Consistently present a professional image of the company and foster strong relationships with key clients to secure repeat business and referrals.

Primary Duties


• Manage system commissioning tasks and client handovers, addressing complex technical issues and software challenges to resolve faults and inquiries. This includes identifying, reprogramming, and replacing equipment as necessary, both domestically and internationally.


• Support quality assurance by monitoring the performance of installed systems, providing technical guidance to installation teams, and promptly addressing any issues with colleagues and clients.


• Conduct planned annual maintenance and respond to reactive service requests.


• Participate in emergency service calls as part of a call-out rotation.


• Offer technical support to contractors, clients, and colleagues through various electronic communication methods.


• Provide technical insights for the design of security projects, including proposals and specifications.


• Coordinate with clients' IT, Security, Health & Safety, HR, and Purchasing departments to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.


• Timely completion of timesheets and related documentation for accurate payroll processing.


• Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by management.

Qualifications & Experience

· A minimum of 5 years' experience in the security sector or a related field.

· At least 3 years' experience with enterprise access control and video surveillance systems, with familiarity in LenelS2, Tyco, Acre, and Milestone preferred.

· Proficient networking skills, including knowledge of network configuration, protocols, and troubleshooting.

· Basic SQL skills for database management and queries.

· A valid driving license and passport are required.

· The role may involve some manual handling.

· Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards, method statements, and risk assessments.

· Familiarity with NSI Standards is advantageous.
