Anaesthetic Leadership and Management Fellow

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join the Anaesthetic and Intensive Care teams at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Anaesthetic Fellow with a strong interest in Leadership and Management to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in an on-call rota, including obstetrics, ICU, and theatre, on a 1:8 resident basis with a maximum shift duration of 12.5 hours.
- Contribute to the operational and strategic management of the Anaesthetic Department and the One NHS Finance programme.
- Develop and implement projects within their sphere of interest, with the potential to present nationally.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- Previous employment in an anaesthetic capacity.
- Primary Medical Degree (MBChB, MBBS or equivalent).
- Suitable experience for on-call anaesthetic work, including intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency theatre.
- Evidence of teaching at an undergraduate level and interest in leadership and management.

What We OfferThis fellowship will provide the successful candidate with a deeper understanding of leadership and management theory and its application to everyday situations within the NHS. They will also acquire an understanding of corporate governance within a large NHS Trust and develop projects within their own sphere of interest.
The successful completion of this fellowship will provide the applicant with experiences that will aid in future job applications.
