Job Title: Anaesthetic Fellow with an interest in Medical Simulation

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with a passion for medical education to join our team as an Anaesthetic Fellow with an interest in Medical Simulation. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their skills and knowledge in medical education, simulation, and leadership, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Anaesthetic Fellow to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in medical education and simulation, and will be able to contribute to the development of our simulation program. The fellow will work closely with our experienced team to design and deliver simulation-based education, and will have the opportunity to develop their skills in leadership, management, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver simulation-based education programs for anaesthetic trainees
  • Contribute to the development of our simulation program, including the design and delivery of simulation scenarios
  • Work closely with our experienced team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other departments and teams within the trust
  • Contribute to the development of educational materials and resources
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in medical education and simulation. The successful candidate will have:

  • Full GMC registration
  • Primary Medical Degree (MBChB, MBBS or equivalent)
  • Recent previous employment in an anaesthetic capacity (IAC & IACOC as minimum)

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in medical education and simulation, and will be able to contribute to the development of our simulation program. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team.
