About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including patient information, appointments, and correspondence.
  • Process and distribute mail, packages, and other correspondence in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring seamless communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and reporting, to support the efficient operation of our team.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level II in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • GCSE English or equivalent.
  • Experience in a customer-focused healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
