We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Senior Practitioners to join various teams, including:

  • Domestic Abuse Support
  • Community Social Work Unit
  • Child Protection and Assessment Unit
  • Looked After Children Unit
  • Emergency Duty Response Team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute statutory responsibilities in accordance with the Children Act 1989, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding laws and guidelines.
  • Exhibit exceptional assessment and analytical capabilities, with a clear grasp of operational thresholds.
  • Employ innovative and strategic thinking in care planning for children under Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.
  • Oversee a specific area of social work practice, providing mentorship and support to Newly Qualified Social Workers.
  • Enhance the quality of Social Work Practice throughout the organization, ensuring high standards of professional conduct.
  • Act as a deputy for the Practice Manager, ensuring quality assurance of work completed by Social Workers.

Qualifications:
  • A recognized qualification in social work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience working with children, young individuals, and their families.
  • Outstanding writing abilities and confidence in representing the organization professionally.
  • Dedication to achieving favorable outcomes for children involved in Child in Need, Child Protection plans, and Court Orders.
  • Experience in conducting assessments and formulating SMART care plans.
