About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bank Staff Nurse to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for a defined caseload of patients, working within the professional standards held in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and effective nursing care.
  • Supervise and advise junior registered and non-registered staff, and contribute to the development of teaching and learning programs within the ward or department.
  • Take opportunities to undertake further education and develop interests to support and benefit the ward or department.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN Level 1) or RN with a current NMC registration.
  • Team-working skills and the ability to work using own initiative.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of wards or departments and organisational policies and procedures.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning and demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development.
