About the Role:
NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bank Staff Nurse to join our team at University Hospital Crosshouse.
As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for a defined caseload of patients.
You will work under the supervision of a shift leader, guided by local and national protocols, procedures, and guidelines, making decisions based on best practice evidence and assisting in monitoring the work of the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients, working within the professional standards held in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for a defined caseload of patients.
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
- Monitor the work of the nursing team and provide support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) Level 1 or RN with a current NMC registration.
- Working knowledge of wards or departments and organisational policies and procedures.
- Ability to keep relevant skills/knowledge updated and documented.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and evidence of continuing professional development.
