Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care for a defined caseload of patients, working within the professional standards held in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Work collaboratively with the shift leader and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective nursing care.
  • Monitor the work of the nursing team and support colleagues to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant skills and knowledge, and document accordingly.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning.

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN Level 1) or RN with a current NMC registration.
  • Working knowledge of wards or departments and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
