Role Overview and Responsibilities

Join our esteemed Business Aviation Training Centre as a Territory Sales Director, becoming an integral part of our global Business and Helicopter Aviation Training Sales team.

Position Highlights:

In this role, you will take charge of identifying, pursuing, and securing lucrative business opportunities within CAE's specialized domain. Your designated territory encompasses key regions including the UK, France, Italy, and Luxembourg. With a strong focus on revenue optimization, you will also be tasked with generating new business leads.

Key Duties Include:

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics in which CAE operates, maintaining close relationships with users and relevant stakeholders. Proactively identify opportunities at the earliest stages to facilitate initial marketing outreach and positioning, while assessing competitors' strengths and weaknesses to determine CAE's competitive edge. Develop a budget proposal for the Sales Director's approval to pursue identified opportunities that necessitate external and/or internal resources. Identify potential partners that mitigate project risks and enhance bid differentiators. Present a strategic bidding approach to Senior Management, highlighting the opportunity's value, potential partners, technology needs, expected pricing, and CAE's unique advantages. Assemble and manage the bid team within the agreed budget to meet deadlines and company profitability objectives while crafting a winning proposal. Engage in negotiations with customers during the bid evaluation phase prior to the announcement of the preferred bidder. Finalize pricing, terms, and conditions in collaboration with Senior Management. Transition project accountability to the Programme/Project Manager upon completion of the internal contract review. Actively participate in company exhibitions, demonstrations, and public relations efforts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in a dynamic environment. Experience in business aviation or airline sectors is advantageous. Extensive sales and marketing experience within a project-driven context. Proven track record in managing the bidding process. Ability to thrive under tight deadlines. Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of French is a plus.

Contract Information & Location:

This hybrid role is based at our Business Aviation Training Centre. We offer a full-time, permanent contract with a standard workweek of 39 hours, Monday to Friday. This position requires frequent travel (up to 70%) within the assigned territories.
