This position is open to registered mental health nurses and allied health professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee daily clinical and team management responsibilities at the team level, utilizing performance management systems to ensure the effective delivery of clinical services and adherence to quality standards that meet service specifications. Collaboration with the Operational Team Manager, Clinical Leads/Senior Practitioners, and maintaining close relationships with the Inpatient Service and HTT will be essential.

Overview of Main Duties:

In partnership with the team manager:

  • Serve as the clinical team leader for the Community Team, ensuring clinical practices align with priorities.
  • Assist and provide support for colleagues in the Mental Health Hub and other sub-teams as required.
  • Manage CPNs, OTs, unqualified staff, and other related professionals.
  • Ensure Care Plans are established, including the implementation of the Dialog+ framework for Care Planning.
  • Operate within relevant legislative frameworks (Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act (2005), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs), the Care Act 2014, etc.).
  • Foster a culture of service user choice and control among team members, monitored and developed through supervision and appraisal.
  • Ensure the team adheres to relevant frameworks and policies for safeguarding vulnerable adults.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Evidence of recent Personal Development

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Significant Post Qualification Experience in community mental health
  • Experience in Staff Management and Team Leadership
  • Supervisory Experience
  • Familiarity with the CPA system
  • Active involvement in Service Planning and Development
