Senior Clinical Practitioner – Urgent Care Division

Join the dynamic team at Totally's Urgent Care division, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services. We are seeking experienced Senior Clinical Practitioners (SCP) and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP) from diverse professional backgrounds, including nursing, pharmacy, and paramedicine. If you possess a Master's level qualification or equivalent and are eager to expand your role within Primary Care, we invite you to consider this opportunity.

As a Senior Clinical Practitioner in our Urgent Care Centres, you will enhance the existing clinical services, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of our multi-disciplinary teams.

Your responsibilities will include assessing the health and clinical needs of patients, conducting consultations as an independent practitioner, and utilizing your advanced clinical skills and judgment to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge patients. This position involves direct patient interaction and requires flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities...

  • Lead clinical teams during shifts.
  • Conduct thorough consultations with patients, including comprehensive history-taking and physical examinations, using your expertise to identify potential diagnoses.
  • Determine and implement treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications or referring patients to appropriate primary or secondary care services based on established protocols.
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior clinical staff.

Required Qualifications and Experience...

  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Pharmacist.
  • Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent).
  • Proven completion of training in minor illness management.
  • Independent prescriber status.
  • Evidence of training in minor injury management or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Evidence of training in pediatric minor illness management or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Evidence of training in pediatric minor injury management or a willingness to develop these skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development (5% of weekly hours).
