About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Nuffield Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading by example and providing clinical expertise to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Clinical Expertise: Utilize your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision and clinical supervision to junior nursing staff and students, ensuring they receive the support and guidance needed to excel in their roles.
  • Operational Management: Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and training to ensure the smooth operation of the theatre department.
  • Team Leadership: Recognize talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Autonomy and Decision-Making: Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care, while being accountable for motivating and educating your peers within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Be willing to work flexibly across different shift patterns, covering a six-day service and participating in the departmental on-call rota if required.
