Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Clinical Practitioner will play a vital role in our specialized acute services for women, contributing to a safe and supportive environment for those experiencing severe mental health challenges.

Daily Duties Include:

  • Collaborating with the Senior Nurse to manage the nursing team and actively participating in multidisciplinary team efforts, utilizing clinical assessment tools effectively.
  • Overseeing ward operations, ensuring adequate staffing and resources to meet patient and team needs.
  • Taking the lead in conducting regular care audits to maintain high standards.
  • Providing clinical leadership, mentorship, and support for service development.
  • Upholding excellence through continuous clinical practice enhancement and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implementing a structured support program aligned with the annual Quality and Compliance plan.
  • Engaging in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing knowledge.
  • Ensuring that individual care plans are comprehensive and up-to-date in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Conducting return-to-work interviews as required.
  • Assisting the Senior Nurse in maintaining a continuous review process to facilitate service improvements.
  • Contributing to the supervision and appraisal process using relevant documentation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified RMN or RNLD with an active Pin Number, possessing:
