Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Information Business Partner to become a vital member of the Information Management team at Central London Community Health Trust. This role is essential in addressing the information requirements of various divisions, ensuring that operational data needs are comprehended and fulfilled by the Information Management, Business Intelligence, and BIPA teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and upkeep of analytical tools, including the Trust's Information data warehouse portal.
  • Management of waiting lists for the Trust, assisting divisions in adhering to best practices.
  • Oversight and preparation of the integrated finance and performance board report along with quality scorecard reporting.
  • Provision of comprehensive analytical support to divisional teams regarding all information reporting issues.

Main Duties

The Assistant Information Business Partner will be tasked with enhancing the utilization of information across operational divisions, empowering staff to leverage data in their daily tasks. Responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for delivering activity information requirements.
  • Providing advanced analytical insights.
  • Enhancing the information utilization skills of operational and senior managers, focusing on areas such as demand and capacity planning and performance management.
  • Implementing Trust policies regarding information standards.

This position will primarily operate from our designated offices, with necessary travel to various divisional locations.

Job Responsibilities

The primary function of the Assistant Information Business Partner is to manage the information needs of divisions, ensuring that operational data requirements are clearly understood and met by the Information Management, Business Intelligence, and BIPA teams.

They will take the lead on waiting list management for the Trust, ensuring that divisions adhere to best practices.

The Assistant Information Business Partner will be responsible for developing reporting tools, including the Trust's information data warehouse portal, and managing key information reporting outputs for both internal and external stakeholders.

They will also provide an information assurance function by monitoring data usage within customer groups and ensuring that any issues are communicated to the appropriate management for resolution.

Additionally, they will be responsible for promoting the use of information among operational divisions, training staff to utilize data effectively in their daily roles. They will be accountable for delivering activity information requirements, providing advanced analytical support, and implementing Trust policies on information standards.

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of postgraduate qualifications, courses, and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of implementing information infrastructure and reporting systems.
  • Sound understanding of the NHS business environment, including clinical quality measurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of information management gained through experience.
  • Understanding of data standards in IT systems and relational database design.
  • Knowledge of warehouse design and data warehousing principles.
  • Understanding of data and information standards in BI systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of business modeling.

Desirable:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of postgraduate qualifications, courses, and experience.
  • Qualifications in Health Informatics, Information Management, or Statistics.
  • Thorough understanding of integrated service planning concepts in complex organizations.
  • Knowledge of NHS data standards and definitions.
  • Familiarity with IM&T initiatives.

Experience

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in producing management information and enhancing its value across all tiers of a complex organization.
  • Experience in assisting teams with workload prioritization in a busy environment.
  • Experience in conducting research and audits.

Desirable:

  • Experience in writing strategy and discussion documents for organizational issues.
  • Experience in analyzing information within a health context.
  • Experience in utilizing web technology for information delivery.
